My Heart Is My Compass

I took a leap of faith and quit my job. A steady income. Comfort. The easy route. What is considered socially acceptable.
Boredom consumes me easily and routine is repulsive.
My heart is my compass. To the logical mind, it seems well, illogical. The same question has been thrown my way 1000 times – what are your plans now? This is where I normally respond that, “I’m not sure” or sometimes, “nothing” comes out of my mouth. The usual response in an awkward “…oh..” from the other person.
Your judgment is completely understandable. How does one survive in this world without an income?
To be honest, I have no idea. But I am completely content with that.
If passion is lacking, my soul is draining. If my soul is drained, my body is feeling completely exhausted. I cannot be of service to others, if I cannot be of service to myself. How can I shine my light if there is no light to shine?
Happiness is highest on my priorities list. The importance of money to society concerns me. Weird looks are welcome and expected. A piece of paper and made up numbers on a computer screen control our entire existence. I get it; the way society is structured makes it difficult for one to survive without an income.
Where does the importance of money originate? The fear you won’t have enough.
The lack mentality creates fear and fear creates the lack mentality.
The energy flow of money is impeded as a result. If you think you don’t have enough, you’ll never have enough. That is a promise. Your thoughts create your reality. You have the power to change your thoughts. Go find your power.
This fear results in a lack of love and compassion throughout society.
Money makes you hurt people. Makes you hate people. Causes arguments. Ends relationships. Creates resentment. People will step all over others’ to reach the top. Why? For what? When did money become more important than your character?
People believe in order to preserve their bank account, that they must purchase food-like products. A product full of chemicals, additives, and preservatives should hardly be considered food. When did money become more important than your health?
All that stress, anger, resentment, hatred, and depression that you’re feeling is impacting your health, as well. When we hold onto or repress these negative emotions, they eventually develop into a physical illness if we are unable to release them. When did money become more important than your health?
Did you know that your vibration is lowered by continuously denying yourself of what you love. When you’re living within a low vibration, illness is created. When we ignore our life purpose and what we love, depression is created. So again, when did money become more important than your health?
You know that job you hate? Quit.
There are always ways to make money. You just have to find them.
Sometimes, we have to let go in order to make space for new opportunities.
Today is the first Monday I have off since leaving my job. It's a beautiful day. I feel free and empowered. I can do what I want. No expectations. No explanations. No judgment.
From the time we leave the womb, the socialization begins where we absorb and follow the structure of society. Must go to school. Then more school. Maybe even more school. Get married. Buy a house. Have kids. Save money for their education. Must be a functioning member of society. If not, you’re worthless. When did this structure become normal?
It's a wonderful feeling when you allow yourself to do what you want to do, instead of what is expected of you. When is the last time you allowed yourself to do something for you?
There's so much to do. So many things I kept pushing aside because I felt like I had no time. Well, now I have time. I'm allowing myself to follow the callings of my soul. I'm going to continue following what lights me up and what makes me happy. I won’t settle for anything less.
We can no longer dim our light to make others feel more comfortable.
It's time to live our truths. Time to shine our light to the rest of the world. When we shine our light, we encourage others to do the same. It's safe to be here. Be you. Be awesome.
Here’s to new adventures and new opportunities.
Keep shining your light and spreading the love.
Love Lisa xo
